Frequently asked questions
Which stream is best after Class 10?
There is no single best stream. Science (PCM) suits students who enjoy Maths and Physics and want engineering, technology or defence. Science (PCB) suits those who like Biology and want medicine or life sciences. Commerce suits those interested in business, accounts and finance. Humanities suits those who enjoy reading, writing, society and people, and leads to law, civil services, psychology, media and more.
Can I take Maths in Commerce or Humanities?
Yes. CBSE and most boards let Commerce and Humanities students take Mathematics or Applied Mathematics as an optional subject. It keeps options like economics honours, data and finance careers open.
Can I keep both engineering and medical options open?
Yes, by taking PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology). It means a heavier workload in Class 11 and 12, so choose it only if you genuinely like both Maths and Biology.
Can I change my stream later?
You can usually switch within the first few months of Class 11 if your school allows it. After Class 12, many courses such as law, design, management, journalism and the civil services are open to students from every stream.
Is this quiz a psychometric test?
No. It is a quick guide based on your interests and strengths. Use the result to start a conversation with your parents and teachers, and look at your Class 9 and 10 marks too.
