Frequently asked questions

How is attendance percentage calculated?
Attendance percentage = classes attended / classes held x 100. For example, 45 classes attended out of 60 held is 75%.
How many classes do I need to attend to reach 75%?
If you have attended A of H classes, you need to attend the next X classes without a break, where X = (0.75 x H - A) / 0.25, rounded up. The calculator does this for any target percentage.
How many classes can I miss and still stay at 75%?
You can miss Y more classes, where Y = A / 0.75 - H, rounded down. If the answer is 0, missing even one more class takes you below 75%.
What attendance do I need to sit the CBSE board exams?
CBSE requires at least 75% attendance to appear in the board exams. Students with less can be considered only in specific cases such as serious illness, with documents, as per CBSE rules. Check your school and board notice for the current rules.
