ISSO

The International Social Studies Olympiad (ISSO) is a school-level olympiad conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), a non-profit organisation that organises academic olympiads across India. ISSO assesses students' understanding of social studies, including history, geography, civics and social awareness. Conducted once a year for students through participating schools, the exam is held in an objective format and recognises high scorers with medals, certificates and scholarships. ISSO aims to build awareness of society, culture and the world among school students and to reward conceptual clarity in social studies. This page covers complete ISSO details – eligibility, exam pattern, application process and preparation tips.
