Goa NMMS

The Goa National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship, popularly known as Goa NMMS, is a state-level scholarship examination conducted by SCERT Goa under the centrally-sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme. The exam selects meritorious students from economically weaker sections studying in Class 8 in government and government-aided schools for the award of scholarships, payable during Classes 9 to 12 to encourage them to continue their education at the secondary stage. Held once a year in offline mode, the selection test typically comprises a Mental Ability Test (MAT) and a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) covering subjects studied up to Class 8.
