The Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test, known as PUTHAT, is a university-level entrance examination conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh. PUTHAT is held for admission to undergraduate hospitality and tourism programmes – such as the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM). It is an aptitude-based objective test that assesses candidates on general ability relevant to the field. Admission is granted on the basis of PUTHAT merit followed by counselling and seat allotment as per university norms.
