About UGC NET

UGC NET is a national-level test conducted by the NTA for the UGC to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor, the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Ph.D. admission. It is a key qualifying exam for academic and research careers.

What is UGC NET?

• National eligibility test for Assistant Professor and JRF.

• Appear for Paper 1 and Paper 2 of UGC NET.
• Qualify the cut-off as per category and subject.
• Qualified candidates become eligible for Assistant Professor and/or JRF as per their score.

2. Register to generate login credentials.
3. Fill the online application form.
4. Upload photograph, signature and required documents.
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Submit and print the confirmation page.

How to Prepare for UGC NET

• Study teaching and research aptitude for Paper 1 thoroughly.
• Master the subject syllabus for Paper 2.
• Practise previous years' papers and mock tests.
• Revise regularly and improve time management.
