The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery, known as NEET MDS, is the single national-level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate dental (MDS) courses in India. It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). NEET MDS is the mandatory qualifying exam for admission to MDS programmes across government and private dental colleges, and the score is used for centralised and state counselling for seat allotment. Held in online (computer-based) mode, the exam tests candidates on subjects studied during the BDS course. Only candidates who have completed BDS and the required internship are eligible to appear. This page covers complete NEET MDS details – eligibility, exam pattern, important dates, application process and preparation tips.
