JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) is the national-level seat allocation body that manages admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs). Rather than an exam, JoSAA conducts the centralised counselling and seat allocation process for candidates who have qualified JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Held once a year in online mode, JoSAA allots seats across participating institutes based on candidates' ranks, category, choices filled and seat availability through multiple rounds. This page covers complete JoSAA details – eligibility, process, important dates, choice filling and seat allotment tips.
