IAS Selection Process

1. Clear the Preliminary examination (qualifying/screening).
2. Qualify the Main written examination.
3. Appear for the Personality Test/Interview.
4. Final merit and service allocation, followed by document verification.

How to Apply for IAS

1. Visit upsc.gov.in.
2. Register on the online application portal.
3. Fill the Civil Services application form.
4. Upload photograph, signature and documents.
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Submit and print the confirmation page.

How to Prepare for IAS

• Build a strong foundation in NCERTs and standard reference books.
• Follow current affairs daily and make notes.
• Practise answer writing for the Mains.
• Take mock tests for Prelims and Mains.
