AP ECET, the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test, is a state-level entrance examination for admission of diploma holders and B.Sc (Mathematics) graduates into the second year of B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharmacy programmes through lateral entry in Andhra Pradesh. It is conducted on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Held in online (computer-based) mode, the exam tests candidates on subjects relevant to their diploma branch along with mathematics, physics and chemistry as applicable. Ranks secured are used for counselling and seat allotment in participating colleges. Eligibility is based on a relevant diploma or B.Sc qualification.
