UPSEE 2020 – AKTU has again released online application form for UPSEE exam 2020. Candidates can now register for the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam at upsee.nic.in until May 3, 2020. Also, the form correction submission has been extended to May 3, 2020. AKTU (formerly UPTU) has postponed UPSEE and therefore the exam will not be held on May 10, 2020, and admit card will not release on April 27, 2020. Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) will now be held on a new date which AKTU will decide and announce in some time. UPSEE 2020 Postponed
The UPSEE 2020 exam is hereby postponed. AKTU was supposed to hold the exam for paper 1 to 8 on May 10, 2020. However now the exam will not be held on the scheduled date. Although the official notice has not provided any reason behind the postponement, it is anticipated to be due to the COVID-19 situation, extended lockdowns, and sealing off of zones with high intensity of coronavirus infected cases. There are around 21 government and 735 private colleges that are affiliated to AKTU and where admission is based on UPSEEE scores. Apart from colleges affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), few other colleges in UP also consider score of UPSEE 2020.

The application form of UPSEE 2020 can be filled in the online mode, from upsee.nic.in. To fill the application form candidates need to follow the application form link of their course. There are 3 links to fill the application form categorized course wise, as shown in the image below:
The brief steps to apply includes the below given process:
Step 1: Apply for Online Registration
You need to register using personal details, contact details and choosing a password for login. Please provide your active and valid contact number and email id in the registration form. All details of the exam is communicated to the candidates via them.
Step 2: Fill Online Application Form
Once registered you can access the online form and fill in details like course applying for, education details, 3 choices of exam city etc. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications of a candidate are liable to be rejected.
Step 3: Upload Scanned Photo & Signature
The scanned images of recent passport sized image and signature of the candidates is to be uploaded in the application form. The scanning of the images must be as per the specification below:

Step 4: Pay Examination Fee
Application Fee – The payment of the application fee of UPSEE 2020 can be done in the online mode only. Now, the fee differs category and gender wise. The application fee is given below:

Step 5: Print “confirmation page”
If the payment of the candidates is successful then the confirmation page id generated. The candidates must take a print of this page and keep it for reference.
UPSEE 2020 Form Correction
AKTU has started application form correction for registered candidates of UPSEE 2020. The correction window is available online, on upsee.nic.in. Candidates need application number and password to open the correction window. There are 3 links for UPSEE 2020 form correction, for the following courses:
- Link 1 if for – B Tech, B Arch, B Des, B Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, B Voc, MBA (Integrated), MCA (Integrated), M Tech (Integrated) courses.
- Link 2 if for – MBA, MCA courses.
- Link 3 is for – M.Tech, M.Des, M.Pharm, M.Arch courses.
Candidates have to click on the link for their course and then make the required changes. The facility for application form correction is a one time facility. It is only available for a certain period of time. Hence, candidates are advised to make the most of it.
UPSEE 2020 Admit Card
AKTU shall release the UPSEE 2020 admit card after the completion of the registration process for the same. All the applicants can download their admit card from the official site as per the schedule by entering their application number and password. After downloading the UPSEE admit card candidates must take a printout of the same.
All the applicants are required to go to the UPSEE 2020 exam center along with their UPSEE 2020 admit card as the entry without it is prohibited in the exam center. UPSEE 2020 admit card of the candidates shall contain the Name of the candidates, father’s name, roll number, examination center, examination day, date and time.

Mode of the exam: The entrance exam is conducted in pen-paper based mode.
Duration of the exam: The duration differs for the papers and can be checked below:
- Paper 1 and 2 is of 03 hours duration
- Paper 3 is of 2 hours and 30 minutes
- Paper 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are of 02 hours duration.
Type of questions: The question paper consist of objective type multiple choice questions.

Marking scheme: For a correct answer, candidates get 04 marks / 05 marks for B.Arch and there is no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

UPSEE 2020 Answer Key
Answer key of UPSEE 2020 releases after the exam over officially on upsee.nic.in. The official answer key is available in the PDF format for all the sets of question papers of all the 8 papers. The official answer keys releases set wise. Using the answer key candidates can check the correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Crosschecking the same with their responses in the exam, a probable score can be also calculated.
The marking scheme to be used to calculate score using UPSEE 2020 answer key are:

UPSEE 2020 Result
AKTU releases the Result for UPSEE 2020 on the official site. The result of UPSEE 2020 shall be released based on the performance of the candidate in the examination. To check the result candidates have to use their login details like roll number and date of birth, and download the scorecard from upsee.nic.in.
Note: The result of UPSEE-2020 declared by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow shall be final. However, the candidate can get their answer sheets scrutinized on payment of Rs. 5000/- per paper within seven days of declaration of result. The application for scrutiny may be submitted in writing to:

After the result is out, based on the marks of the candidates in UPSEE, a merit list is drawn. The candidates who score more are placed higher in the merit list. The candidates are then given chance to appear in the counselling rounds as per their position in the merit list.
In case 2 or more candidates get the same rank, the below given criteria is used for tie-breaking:
- Firstly, by the percentage of incorrect answers given. A candidate having lesser percentage of incorrect answers will be placed at higher merit.
- Secondly, as per the table below:

UPSEE 2020 Counselling
All the selected candidates are required to attend the counseling round. All the candidates whose names are there in the merit list must reach the counseling center on the given date and time. The candidates shall be notified regarding the schedule of the UPSEE 2020 counselling on the official website or they can also receive an email on their registered mail id. The allotment of the seats shall vary on the day of the counselling as it will be dependant on the availability of the seats on that very day.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is situated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a public collegiate university. It was established on 8 May through the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It was formerly known the Uttar Pradesh Technical University. It is an affiliating university, with approximately 800 colleges affiliated to it. The university was earlier on the IET Lucknow campus. Now it is in its newly inaugurated campus in Jankipuram, Lucknow LKO. For applying for all first-year UG and integrated courses
Education qualification needed for B.Tech admission: Candidates must have done 10+2 with physics and mathematics as core subjects. The minimum marks needed in 10+2 is 45% (40% for candidates belonging to reserved category).
- Other then this, candidates must have also studied chemistry / biotechnology, biology, technical vocational subject, computer science, information technology, infromatics practices, agriculture, engineering graphics, and business studies as optional subject.
Candidates should have passed diploma in engineering and technology with minimum of 45% marks ($0% in case of reserved category).
Education qualification for all courses except for B.Arch: 10+2 with minimum marks of 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). Minimum marks must be in all the compulsory subjects taken together.
Education qualification for B.Arch: For B.Arch minimum aggregate marks in 50% compulsory subjects and in overall.
Note: For B.Tech and B.Arch, candidates passed 10+3 diploma examination, can also apply.
– For B.Tech diploma in Engineering and Technology is needed.
– For B.Arch diploma with mathematics as compulsory subject is needed

- 3 years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subject from any recognized University and securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
For admission in 2nd year in any branch of B.Pharm
- 2/3 years Diploma in Pharmacy from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)
For admission in 2nd year of MCA
- A candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree course of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) from any recognized Indian University with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
- The candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level.
Eligibility for NRI / Foreign Nationals / PIO / CIWGC
- 10+2 with PCM / passed High School Certificate Education (GCE) exam with PCM (A) from London / Sri Lanka / Cambridge
- Appeared in SAT II examination with maths level II C, Physics and Chemistry.

Filling of Seats via UPSEE 2020 Scores
For admission in 1 year courses, the seats shall be filled in the following manner via the UPSEE 2020 scores:
In private institutes:
- 15% of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled by the Management quota/NRI candidates.
- The remaining 85% of seats are to be filled based on UPSEE 2020 merit.
In Government/ Government Aided/ Govt. Self Financed Institutes:
- 100% seats in all courses in first year are to be filled by UPSEE 2020 qualified candidates.
For all AKTU affiliated colleges – Private and Government:
- 20% of the seats are without any reservation and shall be filled based on UPSEE 2020 merit.
