Assam CEE 2020 Postponed and Last Date To Apply Extended
ASTU has decided to postpone the Assam Common Entrance Exam because of the lockdown in India. Here is the complete notice for your reference.

The notice reads: “In view of the hardships faced by the country and its citizens due to COVID-19 pandemic,the date of online submission form for CEE 2020 extended byten days from the end of COVID 19 lockdown period date.CEE 2020examination whichwas scheduled to be heldon Sunday, April26th, 2020, thus stands postponed to a later date. The date will be finalized after declaration of the JEE mains/JEE Advanced/NEET examination dates.The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting http://www.astu.ac.infor latest updates.The candidates can also contact online technical helpline numbers 08472880277, 09769199421, 09619452109 for online submission.They are also being informed individually through their registered mobile number.”.

Steps to apply
- Go to astu.ac.in.
- There, click “CEE 2020 Online Application Submission”.
- Click the registration button on the next page.
- Now enter name, mobile number, email id, password.
- IMPORTANT: Note down your application number.
- Now login with application number and password.
- Fill all details in the online application form of CEE Assam 2020.
- Pay application fee.
- Finally, take a printout of the form and keep it safely.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 750.
Mode of fee payment are all online vide debit card, credit card, net banking.
Form Correction
Candidates cannot contact ASTU to ask for form correction. There is no separate window for form correction also. However, candidates can edit details in application form until the last date of form submission.

Assam CEE 2020 Preparation Tips

- Brush Up your Formulas: Learn all the most important formulas and write down the formulas in separate notebook, so that you can easily start solving the question without much hassle.
- Increase your Speed: As the exam will be conducted in Offline Mode, so candidate must take less time on solving the questions, so that can get enough time to fill and check the OMR Sheet again.
- Practice Previous Year’s Question Papers: Solve previous year’s question paper so that you can get use to the question and it will also help in increasing your speed.
- Divide the Weak and Strong Topics: Go through the syllabus once more and divide your strong and weak topics. Give more time to your weak topics but don’t miss out to study your strong topics too. They should be revised on a daily basis.
- Give Mock Tests: Attempt as many Mock Test as you can, to check the level of the questions and to increase your speed.
Assam CEE 2020 Admit Card / Hall Ticket
Candidates who apply for the Common Entrance Exam get the admit card aka hall ticket in order to appear in the exam. It is a one or more pages long document containing various candidate details, and most importantly the exam center.
Where to get admit card? You can download the hall ticket from the official website astu.ac.in only.
When will admit card be available? Check the exam dates section for date of release.
How to download admit card? From the download admit card link, you will reach the login page. There, login with your application number and password and download the hall ticket.
Exam day guidelines
- Report to the exam center at least 2 hours before start of exam.
- Candidates will get OMR answer sheet in order to mark answers in the exam center.
- Candidates should check the question booklet set (A/B/C/D) before starting to solve the paper.
- They will also have to fill in details like roll number, question paper booklet number, booklet code.
- Use only black ball point pen in order to mark answers on the OMR sheet.
- Candidates will have to fill signature, left hand thumb impression in the attendance sheet in front of the invigilator.
Candidates must take the following documents to take to the exam center
- Assam CEE 2020 admit card
- Valid photo ID ( Pan Card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ 12th Class Board Admit or Registration Card/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With Photograph)/ E-Aadhaar/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No with Photo. )
- Black ball point pen
Do not carry any item such as textual material, Calculators, Documents, Slide Rules, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, and bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device except the allowed items to the center.
Assam CEE 2020 Answer Key
ASTU publishes official answer key of CEE Assam 2020 at astu.ac.in on the same day as exam, by 6 PM.
Candidates can submit queries / objections against the answer key through astu.ac.in only. For last date of query submission, check the exam dates section.
After getting objections, ASTU subject experts look into them and compile a final answer key. On basis of that, ASTU declares result of the common entrance exam.
Objection Processing Fee: Rs 500 per question. This is the amount candidates need to pay in order to submit their queries on a question.
Assam CEE 2020 Result, Rank, Tie Breaking
The purpose of the Assam Common Entrance Exam is to rank candidates in order to have a basis for giving admission. Here, the rank is solely on the basis of performance in exam. No other factor like qualifying exam scores are considered.
Marks in exam = Total number of correct answers x 4 – Total number of incorrect answers x 1.
As per total marks in physics, chemistry, maths of ASSAM CEE 2020, candidates are ranked. Those with more marks get better rank. However at times, two or more candidates get the same marks. In this case, tie breaking is used.
Tie breaking
- One with more marks in Maths gets better rank.
- If tie persists then one with more marks in physics gets better rank.
- Again if tie exists then one with more marks in chemistry gets better rank.
- Even then if tie does not break then date of birth is taken into account.
How to get result? Candidates need to check their result and download score card / rank card from astu.ac.in. One has to login with application number and password in order to check result.
Assam CEE 2020 Counselling
After getting the result, candidates will have to participate in counselling. In this process, one has to select choice of colleges, choice of courses, and submit their documents.
If at the time of counselling, the counselling authority comes across an ineligible candidate, then the university will disqualify that candidate.
Counselling Authority: Assam Science and Technology University WILL NOT CONDUCT counselling. Therefore candidates can get information on seats, counselling details, eligibility, reservation from Director of Technical Education, Govt of Assam, Kahilipara on counselling.
