World’s most thankless job
Everyday we read news of students’ suicide attempts due to failure or misbehavior of teacher and after going through the news we start condemning the teachers for their tyrannous nature. But I just want you to go to the grass root level to find the cause of children’ hypersensitivity. Today’s parents are earning better but spending less time with their kids. And to overcome their guilt conscience, they fulfill each and every demand of their child and convince themselves that they are doing the best for their child. A three month old baby is sent to crèche. There is no one to help the baby bloom and groom. The kids are overprotected and over pampered by the parents .As a result the kids consider themselves the master .No one can scold, beat or even talk in loud voice to them. No dare say no to their demands.
When the toddlers start going to school, the parents bluntly threat the teachers not to act harshly with their child even when they are not doing well in class. These over adamant kids have negligible tolerance level which leads to rash decisions like attempting suicide (recent case of Mother Teresa School). So the parents are humbly requested to let their kids grow like a tree ,not like creepers who need support for life long. My mother never ever carried my school bag on the way to school when I was small. She wanted me to face the stern realities of life that life is not a bed of roses.
I request all the parents to make their kids strong enough to face the problems and accept any challenge, from punishments of teachers to bullies .A failure should not fail them, they should be taken as the stepping stones to success .Remember ,India is a country where teacher was respected and even worshipped before God. A child needs support and guidance from both parents as well as teachers to groom into a responsible citizen. So please stop blaming teachers and start a fresh to turn the kids from vulnerable to valuable assets of society.

Oh sure there are remedies to every problems. And I too can think of few.
1.Whatever we are doing is a kind of awareness program but we need more participation in form of comments and ideas.Such that atleast members will be a good parent and a good human being.
2.There must be an interactive and long parents /teacher meeting such that teachers could focus on each child well and discuss each and every aspect of child with the parents,i.e teachers should initiate.
3.Something like documentaries ,blogs on effective parenting like things must be promoted.
4.Newspapers should come up with daily or weekly column on ‘Effective Parenting’.::::::Ahh that one is great and can prove to be a distinguishing feature for a newspaper….
