Purple revolution in Iraq was not faded away , we witnessed green revolution in Iran and now the Jasmine revolution of Tunisia. Middle East has always been the hot-spot of the Earth. The 23 year one man rule of Tunisia’s Zine El Abidine Ben Ali toppled in just 28 days and its Domino effect has reached other Arabic nations as well.Egypt has also witnessed the day of their history and their president Hosni Mubarak has finally resigned as a head of ruling party, after 3o years of ‘work’ at the office ,therby receiving 6 billion dollars of US aid in his tenure. His presidential resignation is predicted as not far away.
After watching the Tunisia’s case Jordon has already announced 550 million dollar package as subsidy.Countries like Syria , Qatar , Bahrain , Djibouti are fighting for democracy from their Tyrants.Sudan is on the verge of partition into two nations. In Saudi Arabia, there is fight for Women’s rights and to free Press.Corruption , Poverty and Unemployment are the common cause of the Intifada.
Democracy is what ,which is being asked now,but why they just cannot give it.Yes,there exist one more reason than being corrupted, eating out the nation’s future, stocking their personal wealth and all.The root reason.According to Mr. Alexander Bliegh, ” The concept of democracy is different from theirs”.Muslims are openly opposed to democracy. In Islam there is no separation .The leader is the leader in prayer,in battle and in Politics as well. This is what the ideology and the reason why Autocracy is deeply rooted in these regions for such significant period of the time .
But this is the period of transition ,where more weightage is given on the Left wing and the need of an egalitarian society specially in the outset of the society where women have always been suffered.Whatsoever the extent to which the Democracy can be messy or untidy , it will always be preferred over the Autocracy where there will be more options, more ideas and the more freedom.

@ Mr.Revolutionary : Exactly, The best part of these colored revolutions are;they haven’t cause any bloodshed and the whole movement was laid peacefully. We do need such a spirit to agitate ,to bring in the change from our part ,to make ourself able enough to dictate our terms as well in the outset of billion dollars scams we have witnessed.
@Sushil : Yes ,that is what I want …the change and the collective efforts but I an not really against this Indian govt. ….it is not like the opposition is free from corrupt bureaucrats .
@Sushil : That is different issue and will be reflected in the next general elections. But we don’t need to wait for it,we must start to put forward our terms collectively.
on d contrary, it’z so electrifying to see hw dese ppl hv finally stood up 4 their right to freedom n r nt ready to settle dwn 4 anythn less than democracy…v, Indianz must revere n realise d importance of DEMOCRACY tht our far-sighted leaderz hv bestowed us…!
@Disha : Very true but here in India, lies the challenge to extract the good out of it.Democracy doesn’t necessarily ensures the development,it got to be properly administered for which people have to be proactive.
@ Revolutionary : Yes,that is the kind of spirit we want to induce in our readers through articles. We will be organizing a tour to an ‘Old age Home’ recently , however small maybe. You will be informed ,you can find me on facebook.
Well this is the Question, for we must devise solutions.
The article which are published are intended to make every reader a better citizen ,i.e to make them more aware ,more responsible and more mature towards the society they live in.If you know that how badly corruption hits an economy, you at a point of time will realize that …it is bad and we must not indulge ourself in it.
In the end ,you just cannot go and shoot these ‘symbols of greed’ …Raja,Kalmadi , and these bureaucrats. To curb corruption is a process which have been started ,what we are doing here is to trigger its domino effect.
Talking about me ….in particular.I have written some where else as well.I have never given a bribe to any of the policemen , I gave the regular challan when I had the option of giving that 100 rupeee note and evade it.
The point is ,if we all start to think and act like a good citizen……intensity corruption will automatically be reduced.”Change yourself, and your society will be changed”.
I think sm1 has to initiate. But we r running a blind race to fulfill our dreams. No one has d time to oppose.Even i hv not d time to stand. i believe dat, peopl r nw more selfish, they try to search their benefit in every thing.Havng seen so much scam i cant think that indian democracy could change.
No ,the point you just cannot wait for others to initiate. The problem is we always think that ……when he/she will do then I .We are not asking to leave your daily chores and start protests….what we want is just to be good at your own level only.Human being have always been selfish ……and thus the challenge is to reduce its intensity.
I agree with ur Views. But there should be a good platform to send our thoughts and voice to the govt. There is no benefit of conducting an essay writing competition. Whatever we are writing here we should follow it.
You are contradicting yourself. What kind of Platform you are talking about…….you just can not go and speak up in front of Parliament. What I have written earlier,”Change yourself, and your society will be changed”.Even essay writing competition will do ;the participants who will indeed go through brainstorming will end up in following some of their points too.
