THE HOST INSTITUTION NETAJI SUBHAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), erstwhile Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT), was established in 1983 to meet the growing demand of skilled manpower in the fields of emerging areas of engineering and technology. It is an administratively autonomous institution, affiliated to the University of Delhi and is fully funded by the Government of Delhi. Within a span of twenty-five years the Institute has carved a niche as a center for excellence in technical education and research.The Institute functions from a sprawling campus extending over an area of 145 acres from South West districts of New Delhi.It is tastefully laid out, clean, environment friendly and pollution free. The campus provides several essential amenities for community living such as Guest House, Faculty Housing,Staff Housing,Hostels, Dispensary, Shopping Complex,Staff Club, (SBI & Andhra)Bank, Post Office, Students Activity Center, and Play Fields etc.

SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES (SAS)
The School of Applied Sciences draws faculty from the traditional disciplines of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to provide basic courses required in the UG programs. The Department offers PhD programs in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.The faculty members are actively engaged in research and also carry out various research projects. The following M.Tech programs (under process) have been proposed by the School of Applied Sciences:-

Invitation to Release of a Short Film Made by NSIT Students

CURE: Coalition to Uproot Ragging from Education to invite you to the release event of “Anarth: In the name of Education“.
The film has been created by three third year students of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, and is an effort by the student community to educate the society about this menace.
The film will be released on 11th October, which is observed as the Nationwide No Ragging Day. Four years back, Amit Sahai, a student at NIT Jalandhar killed himself by jumping in front of a train due to brutal ragging.
We would like to invite students, parents, alumni, professionals through this forum along with their family and friends for this short film. We shall really appreciate your participation in this event and your concern for this issue.

Resonanz marks the beginning of a festive season on the grounds of NSIT and leaves behind such trails that are followed throughtout the year.The glimpses of rocking and exhilarating fest can be seen on the faces of all the new,fresh lot of NSIT as well the seniors.
RESONANZ 09 would mark its begin on 23rd october to 25th october 09.

Consulting Club of NSIT

Vision
The Consulting Club of NSIT is a student-run organization dedicated to the fulfillment of the following objectives:
- To enable the student community to get a clearer perspective of consulting as a career option.
- To help develop students’ skills in consulting by providing hands on learning and exposure.
- To act as an effective interface between consulting firms and the student community.
- To provide in-house consulting services to NSIT start-ups and budding entrepreneurs.
Activities
- Host seminars and workshops to develop awareness and knowledge on consulting.
- Work on real-life projects that include
- Offering consulting services to NSIT startups and nurturing the startup environment at NSIT by helping prospective business plans.
- Exploring avenues to provide professional consulting to the non-profit sector and to startups at NSIT.
- Work on simulated case studies.
- Hold peer-help sessions and interactive discussions for members on contemporary issues in consulting, economics and technology.
Progress
- Working under simulated case studies and distribution of in house knowledge.
- Working on an in-house magazine.
- Organization of various seminars and discussions on the related topics.
- Formation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) related to finance, economics and marketing.
Future
- Conducting seminars/lectures by the 2 Special Interest Groups that have been created-Finance and Economics;Marketing.
- Release of the first Consulting Club Magazine;and making it a regular feature.
- Holding Managerial Events in the college at a collaborative level with College festivals and independently as well.
- Working with NSIT startups and also arranging Alumni talks for students.
